What is your opinion on awkward silence? I mean, I was at a rave the other day and I had a fun time having non-stop, fun conversation with different people. Maybe its b/c they are on drugs or something XD and that some people are just very outgoing. But like I got hooked on this girl with conversation. I mean, we sat in the same area from 9 to 2 and I was talking non-stop. I mean, I think this is the most I have talked in my life. People say either Im quiet, or Im talkative. And she said I'm talkative but didn't mean it negatively. I think she was on something to as she was rubbing and holding me a lot. I met her other friends too and other girls too where touching me... XD Anyway, a lot of things happened as other people got jealous, 2 guys and 1 girl.

As the night was almost coming to an end, conversation wasn't as talkative as I got tired talking about stories. But the thing is, I've read that its good to keep talking because silence kills attraction. But some of my guy friends say that I talk too much. Whats the right way?

Heya! Silences are quite relative, and depend widely on the situation which they occur. As a general rule of thumb I usually talk until my point have gotten through, and then stop. Just don't stop in a middle of a sentence or await a response, that's when the silences go from silences to awkward silences:)

You should listen to the DVDs (CDs) of RSD. In part 3 and 4 of transformations a Spanish guy from Barcelona talks about the problem of closing. I would strongly recommend you to listen to his talk not only because it is extremely useful but also because the guy is really funny. He says that talking too much is bad. If you think you can close her, than you should close her. You should always close a girl on a high which means when the girl is laughing the most with you and having the most fun with you. And with closing the guy doesn't mean number closing, but kiss closing. Before closing her you should isolate her to take away social pressure from her friends. That's basically what he preaches.

He is completely against those people talking hours and hours and than going home without closing properly. Those people will stay in the friend zone. So yes, I guess your talk of 5 hours is not the way to do it. You should have closed her within the first hour. Of course you will get an akward silence after 5 hours. I am impressed anyone can talk 5 hours nonstop. That is a massive achievement. But it is also completely useless if your goal is to get the girl.
