All the time I see groups of girls dancing with each other and a hundred guys trying to dance with them being rejected.
What I do is approach from the side with a high energy level and say:
"Are you girls just having girl time or can I join the party?" and then smile.
This works so well for me it feels like cheating.. Its all about your attitude. And then from that point you can lead the group to safety from other guys trying to dance with one of the other girls in the group, the girls will really start to love you at this point.

Calling girls out and insinuating that they aren't interested in guys is always classic. It also breaks the whole group unlike targeting a single girl in the group.
This works in most situations where there's a group of girls seemingly impervious to the rest of the world around them. Let them know that unless there's a lesbian convention going on, you're going to sit down with them.
