As I've bolded, I think you are getting defensive before there is a reason to. If you know the guys there already and have problems with them, then I understand where you are coming from and being prepared is a good idea. However, if you don't know the guys yet, you shouldn't start assuming they are there JUST to shit on you.
Going about this in both ways I have mentioned, here is my advice.
If you know they guys there and have problems with them, do your thing anyways and act as if they are not there. If they enter your set and try to tool you, then you jest them right back. I read this somewhere on this forum a long time ago... not sure about the exact patter but say he makes fun of you, you can say something like:
"Hey since you're sooo funny, I want to show you a magic trick. Here out your right hand out like this palm down (taking control, move his arm/hand into a funny position). Now watch what happens to the penny (place a penny on his back palm). Now don't take your eyes off of it!"
You then turn back around and keep talking to the girl, ignoring him. Eventually he will realize he just got tooled and react. Tell him you're sorry, but you'll do the trick for real this time. Do it again with his left hand.
Now say you don't know the supposed "AMOGs" who will be there. The best idea is to BEFRIEND THEM! If you get cool with them, they will be less likely to cock-block you. They will add to your social value and may even be able to introduce you to some girls they know. Why not make new/more friends?
Personally, I don't have much experience being AMOGed because I always befriend the guys first, even before the girls.
