Well, recently I gave it some thought and I think that in my country, most HBs have quite a strong ASD. Even when I get IOIs and when everything seems good, they tend to avoid getting more "friendly" that easy..

For anyone else seeking info on this, I did found some nice posts about it:

What i have found is chicks do things in patterns some girls alternate between "bitch shield" and "nice" so you might meet a chick who's "nice" but then suddenly she turns "bitch shield"

More conservative cultures usually just mean that you need to be more discreet, you have to escalate slower and more smoothly, and you need more comfort.

I've recently moved to Portugal and have noticed that the girls here are QUITE reserved.

Does anyone know the best way to go about this?

I find they are so unresponsive and if they like you or find you attractive they won't show it easy.

Different cultures have differrent inhibitions so if you were to approach in a predominantly muslim country you will have to leave the "sex talk" for later.

If you do get into a new country "test the waters" so to speak to give you a basic idea of how they think.

If the culture is up-tight, I think its really hard to play a game that involves to much sex talk. I think false-disqualifications can be the key.

Disqualify yourself from anything thats beyond her "social limits"...
If its okay to kiss, dont talk about anything that goes on after kissing.
Use the topic "of kissing" the same way you usually use the topic "having sex".

Thats probably enough to get her hot.. and then when you kissed her and she trusts you: move on.
