But as to "HOW" you could probably just... ask for it. Tell her you aren't always online but you'd like to keep talking to her and ask for her number.

As far as "WHEN" I'd say whenever you think she feels comfortable enough to give it out, with a preference to sooner rather than later.

I know its the internet, but all that l33tspeek is so immature in my opinion. Its fine to write in a certain different style, but to me it looks like a kid from junior high is actually typing. It is really hard to take someone seriously when they type in that way. Its fine to read and understand a few lines that way, but try to read your posts. Besides the way of writing, there is no syntax at all. Just a little advice, you're not gonna pick up many women typing like that, and the ones you do, they're probably as childish writing that way as you.

I do use perfect English when I text. Or, rather, I use deliberately precise language. While body language and intonation are not technically possible through text alone, a particular manner of speaking, punctuating, and use of italics/caps/bold/etc can help make up for it and these are lost "wen u typ lik dis"

I think it's more of a culture thing rather than an age thing. I'm hispanic in a big city, so I'm sarging girls the are both 'ghetto' and 'white' defined however they may be.

Ironically his online writing may be completely appropriate depending on the type of girl. It's all about calibration. (But I always start out with proper spelling and emulate her depending on her response)

For the simple fact I'm in my schools Honor Program; which is hard as hell. Next semester i have to read 20 novels in 16 weeks. I completely agree with xiagox; he knows what I'm talking about. honors classes...trust me i know. they can be tough, i took them since 6th grade. i just graduated. i wasnt being a douche, but seriously, i never capitalize on the internet and when i talk to girls online and they capitalize their stuff, it strikes me as a tad classy.
