I tried out the titanic opener and got a respond. I seem to have piss her off but i cant figure why please screen it for me and tell me how to continue.

me:You look familiar. Were you by any chance at the titanic? I swear I saw you cleaning tables after I finished eating.

her:lol. i dont even know what do you mean by titanic. And i don't clean any table . i am not working (:

me:You are the first girl I know that do not know what is titanic!!! My friend Google should be able to tell u what it is. Let me guess u are studying in Singapore Poly and you frequent Zouk (a dance club).

her:"hello. i know what is titantic . but i don't know what are you talking about. u were saying about titantic and then say u saw me cleaning table . Sorry to tell u that both of ur guesses are wrong.
Are you trying to be funny here? btw , you say you SWEAR you saw me cleaning table after you finished eating. but it is not me. so what are u trying to tell me ? trying to let me know that you are from junior college when you say i am a poly student and frequent zouk.
if you are trying to be funny , please don't bother to waste your time."

end

I do not know what to reply it seems that i have piss her off. Have i come across as too needy? How do i move on?

I feel like saying: "just want to be friend man! no need to be so piss when i guess incorrectly."

no apologizing might come off as afc. If I was you I might reply
"I'm hilarious babe, ok I think my guesses were all wrong, lol

But you're pretty feisty. What do you do for fun? and don't say shopping, lol"

But don't count on me for this :)
Maybe someone else on the forum can provide a better reply. And she's not very happy in the last message she sent you, so I don't know if she'll even bother replying to you anymore.

dang man thats a harsh one, maybe try reframing something like, you seem to lack a sense of humor, looks like we wouldnt be able to hang out because she would bring the mood down, but she can still be your myspace friend but keep it a secret shh. it looks like your fell into her frame so try changing it up or just move on and forget about it

I can't speak for everyone here but when I read your conversation with that girl it came out pretty much incoherent. If you ever had to chat with a foreign person that can speak english but isn't used to speaking it, it comes across as if it isn't authentic. They may say stuff like " My pastimes incorperate sandy strolls and i often fancy a ride in automobiles." But the stuff you said was almost that bad. You lulled her to sleep with nonsense. Maybe if it's presented well it may work. But when you just meet someone they don't have a big attention span. Keeping things short, faster, and silly is better to go. You have to have them willing to listen if you are going to say so much. If you were watching movie, one that starts fast will get you into it much faster than one that starts slow. If a movie starts too too slow it doesn't matter how good it is at the ending of nobody is watching. In all honesty you would have been better off if you would have had a normal conversation than whan happened. She probably thinks you are too weird to talk to again now. But there is no such thing as failure. It's all a process of finding out what does and doesn't have success. Once you have your style you can do this stuff in your sleep and be effective.

Thank you for the feed backs. Well she have not reply to me so no problem at all i will just move on.

Grey: is it possible to give me an example of what to say. i was just trying to multi thread there by saying commenting on random stuff like her being in polytechnic and frequent a pub. I saw that in her profile she like to club and that she is schooling that why i said that.

NEW AGE-- I didn't mean to be insulting or anything. The things you said to her just didn't sound fluid. Sometimes when people are doing routines it can sound scripted or can come across as trying too hard. As far as things to say, I would have picked one topic at a time. I wouldn't try to squeeze in her going to clubs and her schooling at the same time. I'd pick one and go with it. That way you have something to fall back on after the first topic is used up and also so you don't shoot your wad in the first or 2nd reply. In her case, since she liked bars and clubs. I'd talk about that. here is an example

"Oh so I see that you like the nightlife. Seeing that you are from "enter city or part of city", what would be the one club that I should definitely stay away from and what would be the one club that would be a must to go to? With this one that you like so much, how is the experience there different than going to just some random club?"

but she will tell you about the club she likes and since she likes it there she will have positive thoughts adn vibes because she's thinking of it. also, when she tells you of the crummy bar, it gives you a chance to talk of it too.

let's say she tells you that she loves "Club ABC' and hates "Club XYZ", this opens things up a bit. no matter what her reason she hates "Club XYZ" it gives you a chance to needle her a bit. like the following.

"Oh so you don't like Club XYZ? It sounds like something happened there. There has to be a story to this! Is this where you go to pick fights? the first thing about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. ;) you're a little thing but I kind of had a hunch you had a rough exterior. :) Omg I went and met a brawler. I knew i shouldn't have quit going to karate lessons. Am i going to have to carry pepper spray for when we hang out?"

make sure that you use emoticons so she knows you are joking and don't think she's manly. but you'd have her laughing more than likely then i'd think you can go from there.

Graybeard,

What u say is not an insult its constructive criticism which is very useful for me.

I am in dire needs of such comments. It will definitely help me improve my game.

I see what you mean Grey, i will focus on one topic at a time from now on.

Thank.

NewAge
