I just ended a 4 year relationship not too long ago, so I'm very rusty at this. Anyway, enough excuses, theres a girl that works at the gym i go to that I've always thought was really really attractive, and I'm planning on asking her out to a movie or something soon. Anything in particular I should have in mind going into it? I was thinking of using a line thats worked well to snag a date and a hook-up (2 for 2 at that) recently but I dunno about using the same line every single time haha, something like "excuse me, is your boyfriends name john? *hopefully they say "i dont have a boyfriend"* in which case I follow it up with "good, I'm Aaron." etc.

how do the pros feel about that approach? thanks in advance guys

just approach her with something none threatening (as in dont come off as hitting on her). just get her interested. and since she is there to work out. make sure you use false time constraints. cuz she probably doesnt wanna be "bothered" by some guy while shes working out. so once u have her hooked after your opener, just keep talking and somehow lead up to a movie and hopefully she hasnt seen it but wants to. and then see if she wants to see it with you.

thanks for the advice. She isn't there to work out, she actually 'works' there, i.e. sits around on the computer unless someone needs something lol. And yeah, i almost invariably go for 'funny' when opening with a girl, guess it's my style lol. Also, much of the time another worker is in the office too (girl or guy, varies). How should that be handled, just wait until nobody else is there?
