Something that bothers me is that maybe some people want to be told how much to masturbate, how much is normal, or even how much would help you get good with women.
I think the main problem about masturbation has not yet been addressed. The problem isn't depletion of sexual energy, but rather what your mind begins to view as sexual. Porn is a major problem to some guys. It really isn't the content, but rather the fact that the brain begins to associate porn and sexual arousal so closely, that many guys begin to have serious sexual problems. To many guys, images on a computer screen become the sole source of sexuality in their lives, to the point that their lives revolve around it. I've heard stories of guys who have women in their bed, yet choose to jerk off to porn instead. I've heard stories of guys who can only get erections when they are watching porn, but not when they are with actual women. I've heard stories of guys losing their jobs and wives because their porn addiction was so destructive.
Now obviously this doesn't happens to most guys, but it does happen. Most guys know how to balance their lives properly, but there are some that cannot and porn and masturbation can be a serious problem to them. So trying to ignore this issue is just a bad idea.
