I got a number yesterday, so I was thinking of calling tomorrow on my lunch break. Should I set up a date on the first call? or make the first call brief, and set up a date a couple days later?

Also, what if I get the voice mail on the call?

Keep it short and schedule a day two. Hey how re you doing blah blah..anyway i wanted to check out XXXX why dont you come along. Make sure u schedule it on a weekday or a sunday easier for her and shows u have plans on important days. If she says no call back in like a week doing same thing maybe text her between the time. If it goes to her answering machine then leave it at that. She saw u called u dont need to leave a message. If anything call back in 3-4 hours. Best of luck.

imo, the best thing u can do after u get her number is text. i dont read what others have said on here, but if ppl are saying to call her right after, i think they are way wrong.

texting is among the least invasive ways to initiate something. its not hard to see this, think if she is at work or class and her phone goes off, 9/10 times she just lets it go to voicemail because either a. she cant find a non-public area closeby to have a personal convo or b. she is too busy at the moment. if u text her, she can get back to u without that added pressure.

just text her what she is up to, ask her to come along to _______ if she is free on _____ night...

if she says ok, then end w something like 'ok ill call u later w the details' and THEN that is when u call her. 2009 ppl
