So i'm at this party and i see a HB8/9 alone in a group with 4 or 5 guys. this is soon after i read up on the game. now, this party was a frat party. those guys were frat guys. i wasnt, and i was at their party.

anyway, i go up and for some odd reason use the esp opener, on all of them!
they all give some lame response (something like esp or espn?) and i continue to use the opener on the chick.

anyway, she guesses both of them wrong, i close the set and leave. later on, she comes up to me and asks me what that was about. i say, i dont know, and tell her about that i want to do the cube test on her.

when, i tell her i wanted to do the cube test, she says " ohhh, the cube test"
and im like, "oh, (surprised), so you know it'
and shes like, "ya, i do, but do it,'

i didnt. i left the set and continued to open other sets.
anyway, i wasnt really busted. but still.
how do you guys think i should have handled both situations (cube and esp)

Be carefull while doing the cube.
A lot of people know of it, and if you still wanne use you better put it in a really good context like.

When you enter a set at party I think its better to go with Funny-DHV story.
Make sure to neg the target or create somekind of false disqualification.
If your story gets the set hooked, go with the ESP-stuff.
It will come out more naturally then if you start with it.
Especally if dont nail it. If you fail while opening the ESP-routine chanses are good it will come out asl DLV.

I found it more effective to do coldreading, ESP in slight isolation. (Not to far from the set the target is in). Then taking her back in to set to meet her friends.
She will probably tell her friends what a cool guy you are, while you get their approval by demonstrating high value, being a funny, relaxed, interesting guy.

Then take her out of the set. Start your cube routine in isolation.

Just some thoughts, it all depends on the situation at hand.
