I'm at uni so every night out really is a club night out. Clubs are loud - very loud. I'm fine with openers e.t.c in a bar/pub BUT at the bar or sofa of a club, you go asking a girl her opinion on something (i like - "who lies more, boys or girls?...") or you ask what she thinks of..., could she help you with...ANYTHING like that and you're fucked. She can't hear what you're saying, I have repeated an opener up to 4 times, and the girl will just apologise because she can't hear you, the conversation can't even carry on if they can't hear what you're saying.

Obviously there's no real answer, I was just wondering the best way to deal with this scenario...

A few quick thoughts....

1. Speak louder working to project your voice past the group. You can practice this by using a tape recorder. Set it across the room from you and work on projecting your voice from the diaphragm.

2. Get her attention and then move her away from the noise by motioning or taking her hand then talk to her.

3. Go direct with kino to open to save yourself from a long hard to hear convo.

4. Find another place to meet women.

The loudness of a club actually works to your advantage. In order to carry on any sort of conversation you guys need to be in each others' space. Don't try to shout at her from a distance, get close and talk in her ear (once you've established basic rapport of course). When you're done saying your piece or asking your question pull back. If she tries to talk to you normally, point your finger to your ear like you can't hear. Lean forward a little bit so she has to move to your ear to talk to you. This closeness opens you up for all sorts of kino options that you wouldn't have in a normal volume setting.

Oh I think it needs to be said, in a loud club even if you're right in her ear you still will have to project to be heard properly. Speak from your diaphragm and not from your throat (you'll end up hoarse by the end of the night if you rely on just your throat) and she should be able to hear you.

What i do is i don't use an opener like that, i mostly go in in clubs directly with a neg and a playfull look, less conversation like that, has worked for me...
