I've noticed that most of my conversaton skills are based on questions. Kind of like "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Many PUAs say to make statements and don't ask questions. I'm having a very hard time ajusting to this and I already had a hard time coming up with things to talk about. Without questions, I feel lost. I tried to keep a conversation with a married woman at the bar tonight (just practice) and could only last a few minutes. What kinds of statements do you guys make for conversations? I would have felt weird transistioning from her asking "do you know where this bar is" to me saying "I just saw Gran Torino the other night"

An easy way to transition topics is to just say something simple like, "You know, that reminds me..." It doesn't actually have to remind you of anything. Just go from one topic to the other like that. If you transition and hook her into the next topic, she won't even ask how the hell one thing reminded you of the other. Think about how you start talking to a friend about something like cars... after two hours of hanging out, chances are you aren't still talking about cars (unless you two are REALLY into cars). You don't ask why you are subject changing, you just do or follow the lead. Also, I'm not saying to take 2 hours haha, just used it as an example to say that as long as you keep it going and get her hooked, you don't think back and wonder why or how.

By the way, Gran Torino is a good movie. I just saw it the other night. 8)
