Hey guys,
Its hard to know what to do and when to do it in the Game of Pickup, but the clip below shows you pretty much EXACTLY what NOT to do!
It is in fact a clip from "The Notebook", and it really is helpful to show what to do if you absolutely want to mess your chances up with a girl - True AFC.. in fact he's probably worse than AFC.

My analysis of it is as follows>>> Afew errors he made:

a) Did not address the group and ignore target in order to gain social proof by target's own group (Mystery's Group Theory)

b) The opener SUCKED... totally out of the blue, etc. (Although, to the guy's credit, he did deliver it pretty decently/confidently.. voice tonality and body language weren't too bad.)

c) He stood there gawking at her on the ferris wheel

d) He then proceeded to come running back to her (Jumping on the ferris wheel)

e) "I would really like to take you out" and "Will you go out with me" is totally AFC and is cliche and quite frankly, we're not 12/13 anymore.. won't work!

f) He was very apologetic (on the street) - did not appear confident in himself by being so.

g) His lines like "I was being drawn to ya", etc. Are cliche, BUT he could've pulled it off if he didnt have that "I'm-so-into-you-please-like-me" attitude and facial expression.

f) He appeared very needy in the street by not looking like he would walk away at any stage.. Instead of making her work for his attention, he was giving her his full attention and more (Cat and string theory in action)

g) "What are you doing tonight?" "Or tomorrow or this weekend" - This guy looks like he has no social life, he's willing to build his whole life around seeing her now - Not Attractive at all! You need to have a life and hobbies and time to see friends and to just be BUSY.. so that you appear to have an attractive lifestyle.

OVERALL, he appeared Very needy, average, clingy, lovestruck, No Value, and just plain old AFC!


BTW I'm sure the movie is appealing to many, i dont mean to take anything away from it. I'm sure its a good movie, but i think this clip will help out many of you out there with what NOT to do. SO enjoy, and i'd love to hear you're analyses/comments on the clip and my points.

All good points. Never actually seen the movie, but I'm fairly certain that he gets the girl in the end anyway. Typical HOLLYWOOD!

Let's just say that you would start like he did and get rejected. If you would bump into the girl later at the eavning what would you do to show your higher value? Should you give her a neg like, Hey theres that (comment) girl again? Just need some opinions.

this is good but people should start making lists of "what to do" because then thats on there mind. it's like an nlp thing. for example someone says "don't think of a black cat" and you just thought of a black cat. it's kind of a helpful inner game trick to think of "what to do" instead of "what not to do" because you might unconciously do it because your thinking about it.

I understand what you're saying, but at the same time if you are consciously aware of what not to do, you may be able to consciously avoid these mistakes.

Also, just to let you all know, i've taken the liberty of writting a (over) 2000 word breakdown guide to day game that everyone should familiarise themselves with since i go over some very key issues.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the way he approached her the only thing I saw wrong is that his frame wasnt tight plus it was waay to direct.

In accordance to tactics and stuff I beleive that its good to read about this material and know it but you should not be thinking about it practically it should all come in natural.

and the way to do it is develop innergame because once this is fixed there is nothing you cannot do .

again im not into tactics and thinkin too much its all about how powerfull you feel about yourself and that will comprehend when you meet new people.
