Subject: My First Field Report

I have been reading THE GAME for 3 weeks. I have nearly finished it. This was my first night out and a chance to put new techinques into practice.

I went to Sheffield last night with Jonny and Ryan. Jonny drove us. We were having a good night. I looked at many sets but didn't get chance to pen any (or maybe after 3 seconds I bottled it)

We ended up in Embrace (huge club). We left at 2am. When we got to the top of the stairs inside a girl started talking to Ryan. Jonny and I stood back 5 yards. From what we could gether she wanted to know how to get out so Ryan led her outside and down the bit where you queue.

Jonny and I kept our distance, they seemed to have a good rapour going. I kept saying to Jonny, "I hope he gets her that would be a good pull."

She was 5.10", was thin and slender with long staright brunette locks. I hadn't really seen her face yet but it seemed pretty. They were about to cross a road when they stalled a bit and a silence seemed to enfuse. Jonny and I kept walking and eventually got to them.

She turned around and we looked at each other for the first time and her first words were "Wow you're cute" I couldn't believe it. The first words she uttered were an IOI to me. My brain started working over time. On the one hand Ryan had been talkin to her so I should steer her towards him. He has also been reading the game but is 50 or so pages behind me. I remember him saying he is okay with the open but after that he fears awkward silence so maybe he wasn't ready.

I decided I could't let this oppertunity go so I took Styles only way to respond to a compliment and said "thank you." Then added "but you are way cuter." She smiled I put my are round her waist (kino) and lead her away Ryan and Jonny were walking behind I could tell he was pissed off.

She asked me my name early on which I took as an IOI. She asked what I did. I should have said cigarette light repair man but wasn't prepared so said musician and quickly shifted and asked what she did. I didn't want to dwell on what I do, I wanted to game her.

She went into a conversation about her job and veered off not fluffing though. I was disecting all the garbage trying to pick up on key notes I could use. She inadvertently told me but maybe subconsciously meant to that she was Kate, (a crucial fact I would later forget but not to my detrement thankfully) single, 24, from Doncaster, and a social worker. I made a joke about there being a lot of need for that in Doncaster she laughed.

I wasn't taking these as the third IOI so I kept the conversation going and we arrived outside the bar where her friend were. Ideally I wanted her to volunteer her number. I was feeling confident so I said "Ive got to get your number." She whipped her iphone out and gave it to me. I have fucked up on this bit in the past so I pranked her to make sure it got to her phone and she now has my number. She asked me for a hug! 3 IOI's! I returned with Mystery's line. "I normally charge £5 but I like you so you can have one for free." We had quite a long hug then I bottled the full kiss close and did another Mystery line. I pointed to my cheek and said "kiss goodnight." She obliged and I rewarded her compliance and that was my first number/kiss close after eading the Game.
