I met this girl who worked at Macy's. Ran a solid opener, did the cube, worked very well, predicted that she was a writer. Invited her to join me at the batting cages sometime later that week. Number closed. Texted her over the period of 5 days, went like this.
Marlow: Weirdest thing just happened. I was pulling into the gas station just a minute ago, and these two bums fighting outside it lol. What you doin doofus?
Her: Hahah

Doin laundry then going to work out.
Marlow: Yea, I'm heading up to the baseball field soon to practice. Just wanted to
say that when I met you I thought you were really cool, and you had a
vibe I hadnt felt in awhile. I'd like to hang out sometime this week so I
can get to know you a bit better.
Her: Yeah! For sure!
Marlow: Cool. Well I'm buzy until like thursday afternoon, you want to make
tentative plans to go hang out thurs? Or is there a better time for u?
Her: Well I cant be out super late cuz I have work at 7 the next morning. What
wud you want to do?
Marlow: Batting Cages. Havent done that in awhile.
Her: Yeah. I'd rather go do something than like just watch a movie.
Marlow: Yeah. You cant even talk during a movie, kind of defeats the purpose of
hanging out.
Next day, day before we planned to go out
Marlow: Question. Does a grey shirt and tan shorts go together? You work at
Macy's.
Her: Eh, not the best.
Marlow: Yeah. Thought that looked a little funny. Wish someone would have told
me that in middle school. What you up to?
Her: At Cayman Point (A suburb of Georgetown)
Marlow: Fun. I need to help my cousin move some stuff until like 4 tomarrow,I
can probably pick u up after then and we'll go to the batting cages, it'll be
pretty casual. That sound ok?
(No followup after that. Flaked out)
Was I too pushy? Did I do something wrong when I brought up the logistics (whos
picking who up, when)? It's been a day now, no conversation. Is
it dead on the vine? Critisizm/Comments needed.
Thanks fellas.
