First impressions matter a lot, so I think I would improve my success with online dating with pro photos.

Can you recommend any pro photographers in London that won't be too expensive and who know how to make photos specifically for online dating?

Also, any suggestions what kind of photo I should use?

The only thing that works for me so far is webcam head shot + sunglasses + black&white. It gets me 9.6 on hotornot, decent reply rate on dating sites, and as a bonus an account on darwin dating (which I got mostly for fun). Everything else really sucked - on both hotornot ratings and dating sites field tests.

Getting pro photos seems far too keen and needy. It shows that you are putting far to much effort in and tells them that you must be desperate. The best photos are the natural ones taken by someone else at a party etc, and you can add b&w if you want.

IMO

Well I had really crappy first contact reply rates (stage where photo matters the most) with amateur photos before I accidentally found b&w+sunglasses combination. Pro photo would hopefully just look good, girls are unlikely to know they're pro.

i still dont like the idea, internet dating is allready filled with lairs. i rather have the surprise on the actual date that you actually have a little more style or mojo then your picture. it feels fake, rather make yourself more 9 out of 10 by displaying the right body language or clothes on random photo's
