Hey guys. So, I met this really good looking girl (ridiculously good ass, ok chest) and pulled her number; however, I wasn't very smooth about it. I texted her the next day inviting her to a party I was going to. Here are the texts.
Me: "Hey. The party tonight is at the mandalay bay. I think you told me you were working tonight but if anything changes, let me know and we can figure out the details."
Her: "Hey there, yeah im working pretty late tonight and have school early. How old are you by the way ha"
Me: "They say age is just a number and that a persons inner qualities are what truly matter. Lol but if you must know, im nineteen. Your eyes looked fairly experienced. I'd put you at eighteen. Is that right?"
Her: "Haha nice. I just turned seventeen a month ago."
Me: "Hey, i gotta go but maybe ill text you tomorrow. Have fun makin bank."
Me (the next day): "Hey, im going to a cafe later today. Youre welcome to come hang out. It will be really relaxed so wear something casual."
Once again, I dont feel like I was very smooth with this girl so I can kinda understand why I didn't get a response about the cafe. But, about the same time I got the number from that girl, I had gotten a number from another girl and had executed everything almost flawlessly. I had gotten the number and then I ran the phone game later that night and I felt like it went very well. She told me, on the phone, that she wanted to hang out with me Saturday, so today I texted her once and called her twice but still no response.
Here is my text: "Hey, Im going to Borders later this afternoon to pick up a book. I wont be able to stay long, but we should meet up there."
I felt like this girl was really into me, but once again the girl flaked.
Does anyone have tips on what to do to prevent a girl from flaking out or to increase your chances that a girl will meet you the second day?

She is flaking because she is not that interested in you. Work on attraction more before you ask her out again.

You probably need to flirt a lil bit more; try and build a flirty connection That'll get you where you want to be. Your conversations were very original, not that they were too average but there should've been a "hard-to-get/I-wouldn't-care" flavor, you know what I mean?

Girls are usually flaky when they're not interested OR when they're interested in you and are insecure - shit tests and shit games (who've had bitter relationships in the past)
The only way to deal with such girls is to be point-blank and specific when you say something ("Ok, I'll meet you at 8 sharp") It's like saying "I'll be there at 8 and I'd want to see you there by then or I'd go away" Well something like that.. Get it?

Some girls would still tend to act flaky no matter what... And that's when you should get out of the box and go date someone else.

As a rule of thumb don't get the number before you get a kiss, this way you will not have any flakes.

The way I got around the whole love of numbers was to not take my phone out for a month or so. That way I was forced to make something happen there or if a girl really wanted to give me her number she would have to go get a pen and paper from somewhere.

You guys are definitely right. I did some research and I read that, for every 10 numbers you get, maybe two will turn into something. I'm going to try to lengthen the conversations (get more rapport) and try not to settle for numbers. Both girls texted me back today and I was able to get some rapport through text, but I definitely agree with you guys on this. I'm getting a phone number only as a last resort from now on.
