Theres this cute girl I used to have a fling with almost two years ago now. For a while we didn't really see each other, she got a BF and had different friends. Now shes single and I am starting to see her more often, and in the last few weeks weve been flirting a lot but nothings really happened.

At the bar the other night I isolated her and we were talking outside on the smoking patio (we both smoke). We were both pretty drunk and ther was some KINO, but I wansnt able to kiss her. I definately got some IOI's and I am pretty sure she wanted to hook up. At this point (at like 1am) her friend came out and wanted to go home. Again, Im pretty sure if I had invited her she would have come over, but I didn't pull the trigger bc we hadnt even kissed yet.

In this situation is it better to go for broke or just leave it for another time? We have informal plans to hang out this week/weekend so I am going to try to get it done haha.

Most of the times weve hung out were bc of mutual friends - goen to same bbq or bar or whatever. I havent texted/called her to hang out specifically yet (not counting two years ago)... do you think a text message "hey dinner tonight" is too simple/straightforward? Do I need to be more indirect/flirty in this situation? We have a connection- not a huge one, somewhat fragile- but I feel like if Im too aggressive it could sever it.
