what is people opinion on this?

Is it a good idea to add a girl to your favourites list, to entice her to look at your profile or is it a bad idea?

Also, with regard to emailing. If you have emailed a girl and you can see she has read your email, but hasn't replied, are there any guidelines for sending a second email to rescue the situation.
Bear in mind, the first email was sent prior to having any knowledge of game tactics

I don't think putting a girl on your favorites list will do anything but hurt you. It could come off as needy.
Your giving her too much value. Make your top list people you actually value. Or you can do like me on my myspace, they have an option to randomize the top x number of friends. I like it because it makes fighting over my top space a moot point.
