There's this girl that is in the same group of friends as me and we know each other, but not that well. Anyways, she has a boyfriend but I keep hearing from other people that she feels trapped in her relationship.

Here's the convo:


Her: hey I heard you weren't feeling well last night. feeling any better?
Me: Yeah, alot better haha
Her: Thats good to hear, what are you up to?
Me: I was supposed to go on a double date with kyle and his gf but they cancelled. what are you doin?
Her: well that sucks haha. i'm atthe mall now with britney and then we're going to jills birthday bbq, i hope something goes on tonight because i really waant to go out
Me: haha i feel you.
Her: im crossing my fingers
Me: You're pretty desperate.
Her: hahaha oh be quiet

* see her that night at the bbq, and then i leave with a few guys*

Her: are you guys comming back?
Me: probably not. is it like a party now?
Her: no people are leaving. its just the girls now having a depressing heart to heart
Me: oh, then I guess we're definitely comming.
Her: are you really? haha
Me: No, we're at blake
Her: oh how is that
Me: it's hilarious, theres this guy who just came in and he totalled his friends car, it got hit by a deer, hes freaking out big time hahaha
Her: hahaha i'[m so sad i'm missing out on that
Me: You find that party you were looking for?
Her: no unfortunately hahaha homeward bound for me
Me: poor baby
Her: its a sad life

*I don't respond*

Her: are you staying at jeff's? (a friend who's house i stay at sometimes on the weekend, he lives a few houses down from her)
Me: Yeah I think so.
Her: oh you're going to be right down the street from me haha!
Me: Lets meet up. (when my friends took my phone to joke around with her)
Her: hahaha i'm in my pjs!
Me: haha it's only like 12pm, your such a loser
Her: hahaha shut up there was nothing to do!
Me: Let me buy you a drank (my idiot friend still joking around hahaa)
Her: i would rather be drunk then laying in my bed watching sex and the city at 12 on a saturday night hahaha
Me: Yeah nothing was going on so we're watching a movie at jeffs( finalyl got my phone back)
Her: and you called me a loser haha
Me: at least I'm with friends
Her: yea yea yeah haha
Me: we're going to mcdonalds, you want anything?

*Then there was a long pause, like 1hour
Her: sorry I was at my bf's house, hes been a huge jerk lately haha are you at jeffs?

*at this point I was asleep, but she sends another message*
Her: I was going to stop by but i'm home now haha.


Did I do ok? it seems like she's interested...but i'm not sure. what should I send her?

She seems fed up with her bf
she seems willing to look for someone else

I am really bad at text gaming, I am in the same kinda situation with another hb9 aswell

She sounds like she is looking for some excitement - and you can be the guy to give it to her.

From her messages, she seemed most animated (if you can call it that by text) when your friend was texting her. When she said she would rather be drunk than watching TV on a saturday night she was wanting you to make a move, albeit subtly.

So, here is what I would do. Text her something like this:

You: "Hey! Are you busy this afternoon?"

Her: "No" or "Yeah, why?"

You: "Well you are now!" or "Pity, cos I have exciting plans and I need a co-conspirator...!"

If she goes for the first option, then just arrange a time and place to meet. If she is busy, then either tell her to blow off her previous plans as she will have more fun with you, or tell her she is missing out.

Don't at any point tell her what your plans actually are. Wait till you meet her - she will be wondering what is going on. When you do meet her, take her to a kid's playground, complete with swings, slides, roundabouts etc, and just have fun - tease her, joke with her - essentially, make her feel everything with you, that she doesn't with her BF. Do not mention the BF! At all! Unless she brings him up, then just use a BF destroyer.

But, the best advice, is just go and spend time with her, have fun, and if you're having fun, she will have fun.
