Here was the opener. (This was to an HB8 who literally spent half of her profile saying how all the guys on the site are wackos. The other half was about how she loved working in a movie theatre. Weird, but w/e)

"Wow, you must get emails from some super creepy guys if you have to keep message like that up on your profile. I feel for ya. So instead of lame compliments...how about a conversation starter like you recommended: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? (and don't say princess, every girl on the planet says that!)

AND LIEK OMG YOUR EYEZ ARE SO PRETY YOU WANT TO GO TO THE MOVIEZ SUMTIME OH WAITE YOU WORK IN A MOVIE THEATRE NVM LOL!

Dave"

She thought that was funny. So we go back and forth for awhile (her answer was teacher btw), and then she stops corresponding after the third email or so. Last question I asked her (essentially) was "what makes you worth dating? What makes you stand out from other girls on this site?" So after not getting a response after about 5 days, I send this in true retard fashion:

"Not standing out is ok too! Later, good luck with your search."

Dave

To which she responds (about 2 days later):

"Ouch.. I actually graduated this weekend and then put in two 10 hour shifts at work. Sorry my response didn't come quick enough."

...Lol. So is this salvagable? Any recommendations on how to respond?

I think you can save it because she said she would reply...
And because she sent you a "sorry-message"
But I'm not sure how lol I'm still a noob

Yes, your response time was completely unacceptable.. I'm afraid I have to put you in time out..

Ok then,
then continue with conversation per normal.

Hey Volume.

What do you feel instinctively about her replies? To me her last message comes across as a perfunctionary excuse. A lot of people can still be very polite even on the net. Sorry forget about her. I think it's not salvageable. Learn from it
