Database programs for managing tons of numbers and email

Are there any good open source database programs for managing phone numbers, names, emails and type of relationships? I have in the past lost a lot of numbers from Simm card crashes, so I don't view phones as that reliable.

Not that i know of, but it would be easy to make one. Im a php programmer and i am an opensource enthusiast :)

Got a name for it too..... puablackbook haha give me 2 weeks and ill have a site up :)

I like that thinking! 2 weeks is fast! Although how secure would an online based addressbook be? And could you access the addressbook where there is no internet access?

and openoffice.org (great program alltogether but the database might work.) Addressbook, phonebook, organizer are different names for this type of software I believe. Although one built straight up for PUA sounds really cool.

Keeps track of birthdays.

It might be cool to link facebook or myspace pages to information as well. So you can sort of remember who your talking too.
