My friend paints his finger nails black. 3 on each hand, and well, he likes this girl in has class. I personally think painting his nails black doesn't work on any guys favour, but wahtever.

He's probably tried to game her a couple of times. but anyways, he said she asked him why he painted it black.

she askedf him about it, he thinks its an ioi. i think she was just curious.

This is not an IOI.

If someone jumps off a building and goes splat...Then a girl walks up and asks "Why did he jump?" Is that an IOI or just pure human curiousity? Kind of the same thing...

of course it is. shes interested in his nails, and him maybe. its an easy way for her to talk to him. if she had no chance of being interested in him she would probably see the nails and not say anything.

It can be perceived as an IOI because:
1) She's asking questions about him/his style = Making conversation = interest in pursuing a convo with him = interest
2) Depends on delivery, if it was asked cynically, with a dirty look on her face (which i doubt) then maybe not. BUT if it was asked with her laughing smiling and genuinely interested.. then IOI
3) Are you jealous?, yeah i am.. << example of compliance, just going along with what he's saying, (unless sarcastic) it is an IOI.

This girls seems to be interested in this guy, he must capitalise on and pursue this further.
