You never know where you might find yourself needin' the "skillz"..unfortunately I'm completely out of ideas in this instance...Its probably a one off but begging for a reply...completely off the reservation of usual chat...

so on this tech forum I frequent, this 24yr old woman (going by her username) with a cute pic of herself, introduces herself in a blog post. the forum has a blogging module on it. Sounds like shes in sales (or related) for some Microsoft partnered IT consultancy relevant to the nature of the forum. in her post she says of her work "enjoying it get to talk and meet with smart interlectual types."

a couple of guys comment with welcomes etc. I just randomly said

"for future reference its *intellectual*"

she ignores the other two and replies to me with

"thanks for pointing that out <myusername> i never said i myself was *intellectual* did i :-S"

any thoughts on a good reply to that?

"you didn't, but if you want the respect of intellectuals you've got to at least pretend to be ;)"

I would say "easy tiger" or "You're bossy". Kind of playful powerplay phrases(?) Sort of implies that they stronge but you're even stronger. Most people will be embarassed to be called bossy. Used them a few times online. Seems to defuse almost a situation
