I've created this thread so we can share online openers and also test them again.

Only post openers that you've already tested and worked.

So, one guy posts his opener, the guy who posts below has to test it again, provide feedback if it worked and provide another opener that worked for him.

And hopefully we can collect feedback of lots of openers and also make this section very rich.

If you like this thread please contribute.

I'll catch this game in the middle when I test me openers. ;)

I thought it's a great opener, however... I send 9 of them yesterday and see what will happen, the result I got is not very positive...

7 people have totally ignored me, and the other 2 gave back some negative response.

One is "whos this..?"
and the other one is simply a "*pow*"
wonder if she wanna kill me?

Yo everyone - Good thread, like it.

About Mike's opener - what do we think was wrong with it? I like the fact that it's way different from your average Hi, I'm a good guy, you look hot, lets hook up bla blah blah, but i reckon i can see why it doesn't work.

1) The first two lines - it's a shitty relationship!! Your role play guy is an AFC trying to please an obviously frosty woman - not creating a great picture from the outset.

2) The wacky end part - "our tiger Tony" - what like from the Frosties adverts? Since when did Kellogs become seductive dude.

3) Going in as ex hubster (not a good slang term anyway) - basically where does this giver her to go? Imagine getting this yourself, from a chick signing off as your ex-wifey - It's pretty creepy, and doesn't really give any comeback other than "erm, speak to my lawyer!".

I don't think that should rule out role play openers though - we shold come up with some more - perhaps a doctor scenario or a tarzan scenario - hey I was just swinging by on my vine looking for my pet chimp - you haven't see him have you? AAAAaOOOOAAAAAOAOOAOOAA , sorry bad throat. Or something like that.

Another that I've been going with lately that i'd be interested to see how your field tests go is like a summary opener. You pick details from their profile both real and also implied (you can neg here) and then introduce yourself in summary. I then like to control the frame of their reply, and follow up by asking them to qualify themselves. something like this (depending on their profile of course):

"So 24 year old, travelling technophobic city girl, meet tall 27 year old country boy with sparkle in his eyes who loves to grow things.

Why not take look at my profile, close your eyes, ask yourself how you feel (seeing and feeling at the same time may be beyond you, at this point i can't take the chance), and click on that little reply button there. Make sure to tell me your best and your worst characteristics - i need to know what i'm dealing with here."

All feedback gratefully recieved.

ciao for now.

This is a copy paste from a SECOND reply that goes to the Divorce opener. This wont stand as an opener on its own.

Come on guys we can get creative with new openers. Most openers we have are tired and used and the girls have heard them.

Let's post new ones.

I've tried the bastard neg approach indicated by Style for online openers. I think in general they work. I think you have to calibrate and tone it down online. I normally poke fun at their picture and be blase saying I couldn't be bothered to read their ad much. I always say they look cute and imply that other women are brainless. Seems to work. Women like a challenge. I've started to tone it down as I got my profile pulled from one site. I think it got too neg and risky

I didn't try this but I hear it works on bars.
And it may be familiar too... I believe you can work it out with Facebook.
Well, here it is: just act like you know her and say something like "OMG *her name* How are you?!?! I have not seen you for awhile! Tod and I really miss you!

Then when she says something like "hmmm lol... who are you?! I think you are confusing me for someone else..."
Then you can act surprise and say you bump into her and thought she was someone else and then say something to continue the convo like, i dunno, "but you look cooler" or maybe "wow your really look the same! where are you from?!" or something.

BTW if she asks how come you were confused with the last name too then say you don't know the last name of this person.

And you may try another one (again didn't try this.. plz don't kill me ) simple as "How youuuuu doing?! ;)" like Joey from Friends totally funny but little hard to continue from there, I think it should work.

This line appears quite effective, as it usually generates a reply.

For online stuff where they have a photo. "You look kind of cute and seem intelligent. You might become an interesting friend. Write to me" I think it works as women want to prove they are just more than looks but like the fact you find them attractive.

Another one which is pretty good.

For ones where there is no photo. "I like your style. You're a bit of a rebel not posting your pic. You might make an interesting friend. Write to me"

I have done others where I have mocked the online system being used and done specific light negs re the photo. Don't put too much thought into it.Your instincts will tell you what's likely to be right. Keep it short and sweet. Don't bore them
