hi guys!
long time viewer , first post ever, yay!
I have a technical question
How do you search facebook for girls?
I ask
strictly about facebook , because it's the only site I'm using.
the profile search is useless - you can't specify relationship status , and you can't specify age. Plus , the search engine insists on displaying my friend first.
There are search operators. This is quoted directly from the facebook help center:
Quote:
The following is a list of all the shortcuts available:
user: or users: or people: or name:
(e.g., user: kelly smith will list people by that name)
application: or applications:
(e.g., application: links will list the Links application and other applications related to the term)
group: or groups:
(e.g., group: alumni will list groups related to the term "alumni")
event: or events:
(e.g., event: quinceanera will list events related to "quinceanera")
fbpage: or page:
(e.g., page: facebook security will list the Facebook Security Page as well as other Facebook Pages related to the term)
A vertical line (the | character, also known as a "pipe"):
(e.g., John Doe | Jane Doe includes both John Doe search results with Jane Doe search results in the same list; Beatles | Elvis | U2 will display people who have stated in their profile that they like any of the above artists)
Shortcuts that you can combine with other shortcuts:
user: or users: or people: or name:
sex: or gender:
(e.g., name: kelly smith sex: male or name: kelly smith gender: m will narrow down the people named "Kelly Smith" to the ones who are male)
company: or work:
(e.g., name: kelly smith company: facebook will list the people named "Kelly Smith" who work at Facebook)
relationshipstatus: or rl: or status: with the options of single, in a relationship, in relationship, in an open relationship, married, its complicated, complicated
(e.g., name: kelly smith status: married will list the people named "Kelly Smith" who are married)
y1: as the minimum age and y2: as the maximum age
(e.g., name: kelly smith y1: 30 y2: 39 will list the people named "Kelly Smith" who are between 30 and 39 years old)
The original link has bolded text and it's far readable.. search google for "facebook search shortcuts" if you're having trouble.
I can't post the link itself due to anti-spam defenses here.
It's supposed to work , but for some inexplicable reason , whenever I type the search pattern " status:single sex:f " or any variation of it. I get zero results...
which is very odd because any combination that
does not involve these two
together works like a charm.
So here I am ,
Do you know of any other way to search facebook?
(other than manually going through all of your friends' profiles - that's nice , but very time consuming).
Thanks to anyone who'll help,
Cheers!
