So, I've gotten pretty decent at this whole online sarging business, but I'd say that it still takes me 10 emails (back and forth, so 5ish each) and then a little IMing before I number close and actually go on a date with a girl. I'm not saying this is good, I'm just saying this is the only thing I really have for comparison sake right now.

Which brings me to my question. The most recent girl that responded to one of my openers asked me to IM in her 2nd email to me, and gave me her number during our 1st IM session. Now if this were some chick I'd met out in the non-virtual world, I'd be psyched, but since it's online, I'm a little more cautious about it.

What additional steps would you pros take to ensure that this chick is legit, and not a crazy psycho? Or maybe I'm over thinking it and I should just call her and set something up. I dunno, what do you guys think?

I would say your probably over-thinking it...

Ill defer to JSmooth as this is really his advice that he has given to me,

get off Email and onto IM or phone as soon as possible

second email or third and you should be trying to get on something more instant.

So dont freak out.. be safe and cautious as always... but try to speed up your interactions and get onto IM faster... and this one wont seem so *fast*

Thanks dude. I traditionally have a major problem with over-thinking things. I guess I was just surprised because usually I'm the one pushing for the IM or the phone number, but she's made all of the first moves here, and made them fast. It's definitely not something I'm used to, though I could learn to live with it! She must be able to sense my newly forming inner game

Sidenote: there are a lot of normal girls in online dating. HOWEVER there's also a higher amount of crazy bitches than you'd find in the real world (or, this seems to be my experience anyway). This isn't necessarily a big deal but it's definitely worth keeping in the back of your mind when she asks for your home address and social security number

haha.. yeah or if she all of the sudden happens to be out of the country and needs just a couple of bucks to get back here.

Well I took this chick out last night and I'm glad I went for it. She's super cute, we had a great time, there was easy kino escalation all night and a great kiss close at the end. Definitely gonna see this one again.
