Well i am definitely new to this, but I was doing alot of kino and she enjoyed the affection. She asked me if I wanted to go to the club with her and I said sure. The next night I told her that I wanted to be with her and she said we were just friends and we didnt wind going to the club.lol Well after that I told her that was bullshit I could feel there was something between us. So, basically I have majorly screwed up, shown weakness, and had emotional outburst. But I am definitely on the fast track with learning this the last 2 nights I have made approachs which something I would never do and have had some sucess. Last night at 1:55 am I walk into a club by myself within the first minute made an approach and was doing kino within 2 minutes it was Fffing unrea. Her friends came over I didnt interact with them as much as I should and I didnt get the # but it was a huge accomplishment for me. The clubs in NC stop serving alcohol at 2am and it closed at 2:15am so on that limited time schedule I did good and she is a Duke Law student. lol
"How do you simply go up to someone you have known 8 years and start your routine? They KNOW you and are gonna blow thru that in a second."
Hi Duck, I read through these and agree with Evo, you have to be willing to accept that you may lose her, but I would totally say NOT to do the routines you usually do.
You say she'll see through it, so if after 8 years you do some routine she knows you do with others, she'll think you're trying to just get in her pants and she won't feel special to you.

I'm a girl by the way, so hope I can offer a female perspective to you (although we are not all the same believe it or not!).
I would be insulted if a male close friend of mine, after all the years of confiding, talking, learning about each other, tried to attract me in his standard, obvious way the same he did with all the many other girls. I would think he wasn't respecting me at all after all this time.

I would agree with Evo, get good at the game, go out and see if others will fulfil you or if it really is her you want, she may become more attracted to you the more you become confident, but accept that you cannot force her to be into you for something serious.
And do you really care for her...or do you just fancy her and want to see what it's like with her? be careful you don't sleep with her, lose interest and ruin a long term friendship. She won't like feeling used, especially by someone she trusted.

I would bide my time and read her signals carefully, I have a make close friend who I tell everything too, about other guys too, so I would feel weird if he came onto me, knowing all he does about me...but it's about the approach and I like the idea that when the time comes, you just ask her honestly as Evo said...no games and shit. But prepare that could be it for you two if she doesn't feel the same way.

Is it worth it? Relationships ususally end at some point, but friendships don't.
Good luck
x

I think I heard a joke about that one time Red... hmm.

And I am glad I could help, just don't get all sappy on me and start telling me your problems so that I end up becoming your intellectual whore. (www.intellectualwhores.com) Lol.

Actually, you could totally become my handywoman if it is INdeed true that you can change this lightbulb that you so confidently talk about. I have literally dozens of lightbulbs in my house that have never been changed and may well one day Need changing. lol

Cheeky git! lol
I am not going to be asking for advice from you and using you as my support system! lol
'Sappy' indeed! As if! I do wear my heart on my sleeve but it will be wearing a bullet proof vest in here lol :D

As much as I think most of you sound very nice to chat to, I am not needy...I have many friends and am capable enough to deal with my own issues and problems lmao

However...fixtures and fittings I can help with..I can change bulbs (although can barely reach the one that needs changing in my living room, even on a ladder!), and I can get webcams to work, plug in my scart plugs, put up shelves and all that!

Just call me Supergirl lol (not sure my X-ray vision is what it used to be though....)

"A number of things have to be true for the man to be an intellectual whore:

The man wants to have sex with the woman
The woman has to not want to have sex with him.
She has to be interested in keeping him around for other things "

Evo...from that website you showed me...see above. Very revealing!
Just teasing

And I am the Cheeky Git huh? lol.

Being honest I just remembered the term while I was typing and then remembered the website. I didn't even check it because I can't (Restrictions on my work computer.... stupid thing won't allow me to access websites with "whore" in the title. Assholes)

Your right... all three of those have to be true and Obviously none of them are. ;)

1. I, being a guy, could never just want to have sex with a woman just from talking to her over the net. I mean damn.... guys are like 70% visual.

2. You, being a woman, are the exact opposite...

3. There is no way you could want to keep me around for anthing BUT that... I mean hell, I need help changing lightbulbs.

:D Very revealing.

And remember, I too and j/k

Me!

LMAO!

Well I just got a text from my friend who said her mate drove past me about 2 hours ago...I was on my way to the gym (am not buff so don't even go there!) and have hardly any make up on, just mascara, hair in bunches, tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt on, a big ol' army green jacket and she said 'Elaine just drove past you and said you look gorgeous'. I admit, that has made my day, a sweet compliment from one girl to another when I feel I look rubbish!

My point is...if you saw me...am sure number 1 would be different lol

I am KIDDING! I'm not an arrogant bitch, no way, I jest on here but who knows if it gets read in the right tone...back to the smileys requirement :D

Number 2...I have become attracted to men over the internet, but then met them and been seriously disappointed in person (yes, it may be shallow but I need to fancy someone to want to kiss them and some guys you meet are NOT what they said they were or look like their pics!).

What does j/k mean?
Am not up on all the codes in here I'm afraid :)

First of J/K means Just kidding :)

And so you can do shelving, webcams, and fittings and fixtures? Would you be willing to wear the Super suit underneath your normal clothes and when I needed such things fixed you would tear off your "Clark Kent" attire and fly to my rescue? I could be all like "Woe is me... My cabinet handle has broken! Who shall I call? Wait! I know! HANDYWOMAN Please save the day!" lmao. You could come soaring it and repair it in a flash of a lightbulb.

Heheh. That would be freakin awesome! What color would your "SuperSuit" be?

lol

Well I find I look good in black, so reckon a black outfit would be best with a big gold letter across my chest for my name...my real name lol.

Or it could say 'Red' across it...Red to the rescue...that would work (although feel like I sound like a guy now lmao).

I see what you're doing, I'm too suspicious lmao...you're teasing me to get a reaction, oh yes...I know the score lol :D

I'm off out soon so need to go iron my Black suit for the rescuing of men in distress that no doubt will occur tonight...what can I say...a girl's life is a busy life lol

Guys Guys please. This thread has been kidnapped. It way off topic. You're obviously having fun but does it address the topic? Do you think you could just pm each other?
