Guys,

I was talking to an old friend of mine just the other day and he was telling me about this thing he does when he goes out to the clubs...Before he goes out, he buys a string of lollipops and wears them around his neck like scarf. He just walks around and apparently women come up to him and ask him for a 'pop. He says it is a great icebreaker. Personally, I think it comes off as a little desperate. What do you guys think? Also, he says he came up with the idea himself but it sounds to me like he may've gotten it from a site like this...Has anyone heard this one before?

Well, actually its peacocking² !!

Nice idea, cause girls wander around and come to him in hope they get something ... ice broken.

If he actually gives them away, its like buying friends ... dont like that idea.
He should just keep them and start a good convo and close.

U dont give away those peacocking clothing u bought, do ya?

I think that if someone came up and asked for one I would through a cocky comedy thing at them and just do push pull from there with the girls.

And if you dont like cocky comedy or are just starting out in the field you could through a complement like "aren't you sweet enough already?" or something similar.

Having candy on your neck is a little overboard but if it works for you then gor for it.

I personally use gum, or mints. It is great for negging. Just offer the girl a peice of gum casually and she will more often than not assume her breath smells and takes it.

Lollipops work well, especially for girls who are more visual. But rather than walk around with them on your neck, carry a few in your pocket, or if your in a club they usually have them in the mens room. The best way to really attract attention with it is just to have one in your mouth/hand. Women can't help but notice it sticking out of your mouth. If your talking and eating/licking it and are able to demonstrate higher value, then it should sumbliminaly stimulate them.

Rythms,

I wasn't saying that I was using the idea. It was my friend and I thought it came off as desperate, actually. I do like your suggestions though, especially about the gum and the breath mints.

Thanks,

I brought a bunch of candy necklaces to a college dance one time. I wore one on my neck and one on my wrist and it worked amazingly, in the line-up to get in, random girls would come up and ask for a candy and I would make them bite them off of my neck. It broke the ice plus the social proof was unreal. Who doesn't want to meet the guy who in the line-up to the dance had 6 great looking girls surrounding him and eating candy of his neck. As soon as I got in there one of the hottest girls there grabbed my ass and pulled me to come dance with her while I was dancing with a friend. I slapped her hand away told her she was being way too pushy for me and said she would have to wait until I was finished with my friend. When the song ended 3 minutes later, she couldn't contain herself grabbed my belt and pulled me over. Everything went great until she flipped her hair and it snagged the gum in my mouth pulling it on top of her head :|. Never chew gum while dancing. Btw the dance's theme was "graffiti night" in which everyone brings a plain white t-shirt and has colored permanent pens and you just draw over everyone. I highly recommend this for a party if your gonna throw one. Its a great ice breaker and you can walk right up to a girl and start kino-ing ;)

Being a girl, I personally wouldn't just bite candy off some strange guys neck, unless totally drunk (and even then I doubt it!)...and if you want to pull a drunk girl, it ain't that hard most the time! Only other time I would do it, is after we had bonded and had a nice chat and a laugh together and it was suggested to me teasingly.

However, the whole, lollipops round neck thing looks a bit desperate to me, like the Child Catcher in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'! Attracting the girls with sweeties to make them come to you...seems kinda sinister!
I imagine young girls go for it more because they may think it's cute...anyone over 25 and intelligent I would say wouldn't just do this randomly. It can also look like you're on some kind of obvious pulling frenzy and that it is unimportant who you are after, as long as someone bites.

Hope that is helpful feedback :)

Sucking a lolly could be good...it does draw attention to your mouth, but don't try and make it look like you're giving head or something, you'll come across as sad and freaky! Unless of course you have broken the ice, had a chat, and are teasing her lmao

fair enough, you have to remember it was a college party so most of the girls were drinking, I obviously had to chat the first few girls up before they would start biting them off of me but once a few girls did all their friends wanted in and some attention as well. I agree when you get above 25 it might be a little childish, but so is most of mystery's peacocking techniques. As for getting girls with candy, maybe I am a little sinister ;), but I'd like to think at my age the girls are smart enough not get lured by candy. Overall i think its an amazing technique in the right situation ie. party/ club/rave for the college scene. It gives girls an excuse to come up to talk to you (like peacocking in general), it also shows your fun and playful and it breaks the physical contact barrier. I think if you saw some charming guy chatting up a few good looking girls and making them laugh you would want to know what is up with this guy, and the necklace made that happen.

i got something more to add. I find when I go to the clubs with a little older of a crowd (25ish) its way less fun. Everyone is dressed amazingly, all the guys in identical silk shirts and the girls in tight little dresses, which I love. But I always find those clubs to be stiff and everyone seems like they are putting on a show and afraid to make a mistake. You know as a guy in those clubs if you walk up to a hottie and her friends the whole room will be watching you cause everyone is thinking about walking up to her already. What does mystery, style and juggler do? They break the norm with refreshing antics, crazy peacocking and are generally really fun. This type of candy necklace thing takes you back to when party's were way sloppier and everyone was just having a good time, being ridiculous and laughing. It only looks desperate if you act desperate, but if you confidently walk up to girls with it on and get them laughing, and use the necklace as part of the fun (similar to a toned down "body shot") your just a straight up playa.
