Hey guys, first time poster here, been reading a while...

This isn't the first time this has happened, but this is the most recent example. I've been talking on and off with this girl over the last few weeks, and whenever I try to take it to the next level, I'm never given a yes, but I'm not never flat out denied, either. It's a very strange situation I've never dealt with before.

Tonight's example: I texted her, saying that we should go to see a movie both of us have been meaning to see after she gets off work. I made it very clear that this was something I wanted to do, and I think I was pretty straight forward in my approach. I said "Hey, lets see that movie we've been talking about tonight when you get off work." Just a few moments ago she texts me back "Just got out of work. I'm going home to eat dinner now."

Now I know that certainly doesn't seem like a positive sign, but she's been very straight forward when she doesn't want to do things (exhausted, work in the AM, can't make it) but when she does want to do something she's never very specific or deliberate in her responses (or offers for that matter).

As a newbie, I guess my basic question is how am I supposed to respond to something like that? She didn't say yes, didn't say no, just said she was getting dinner (which was never in our plans in the first place).

Does she ever want to do anything, or is she just continually blowing you off? Should you maybe move on to the next girl?

We've gone out twice, plus a couple times where we were out with mutual friends, so no I wouldn't say she's continuously blowing me off, although thats a fair question. When she wants to go out, she initiates, and she doesn't seem to respond well to my advances, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong when asking her out, and frankly, what I'm doing right when we do go out that she does try to get together.

If it was me I'd either leave it & wait for her to text you again or say something like "ok... so you gonna leave enough room for popcorn or you gonna stay in and pig out all night?". If she says stay in or doesnt reply just leave it and wait until she texts. If she asks you if you want to hook up another time say "i'm just going home and eating my dinner" (let her see how it feels).

Basically if she blows you out you need to blow her out once or twice. If she knows you're always gonna say yes it's no challenge for her. How ever you go about it is up to you but make sure you blow her out a couple of times (not consecutively, like maybe once then see her a couple of times, then blow her out again). Trust me it works. A (girl) friend of mine helped me with that one when I was chasing this other girl. Worked a treat.

Yea it works ^^^ I 2nd that. Dudes STRAIGHT FEAR doing shit like this...thinking OH YOU CANT DO THAT, ITS AGAINST THE RULES?!?!?! Bulshit man, let her know your not like every other dude shes talked to...I would even take it a step further, establish verbally another time to hang out with her then just totally forget about it....next time you hear from her she'll be confused "What happened I thought this this this"?

Sometimes they are just seemingly stubborn or really love to play around, thats why to avoid all the shit ewcwf you shouldve just called it all in one shot.."Hey this "movie" is playing, "I've" been wanting to see it etc. etc. get ready to go for later...."

Then if you get anything but a yes or what time does it start you know whats good then..... Honestly I would not subject myself to such school yard games, gets you posting up in forums like this wondering wtf do i do?!?!
