hi could someone tell me what the 26,000 days routine is and explain how and when to use it?

It's like 28,000 something something days. Really it doesn't matter what number you use as long as it's close but here is how it goes. Work it into your conversation as you want.

I usually use something like "Life seems to go by real fast. For instance I was reading this article about this phenomenon and there was an interesting fact. But before I tell you what it is... how many days it feel like you spend on this earth in your lifetime?"

Just get her to guess a number any number. Most people seem to guess really high numbers.

"The actual answer is 28,264 according to the US Census Bereau 2002. Which works out to be about 77 years old. Isn't that crazy it seems like it should be more doesn't it."

Then you can go into how old she is and generally figure out how many days you have left and things of that nature. It's an interesting fact more than anything. I have used this routine a few times and it seems to work as a conversation piece if you have nothing else interesting to say.
