Wow, I had no idea so many other ppl had acne scars. I have zero acne because I am 20 years old and had it in highschool so I'm done with it, however, I do have acne scars on my cheeks. Luckily, my complextion is so clean, it doesn't seem to bother anyone. I recommend using borea. its in a green bottle. you can find it anywhere, like walmart or walgreens. I think it says "anti-blemish" cream. it works wonders.

i would feel more uncomfortable and anxious with makeup on my face than with my red spots.
i mean i would prefer someone saying
"haha you have achne" than have them saying "haha r u gay???"
after all if i am juged by an hb who considers a bunch of spots more important than my game then she doesnt meet my standards

Hmmm...I'm curious though, what about black nail polish? I'm interested in trying this out as it should be a good conversation piece and subtle peacock piece. But I'm worried about any negatives. Has anyone tried this before? I'd like to know before I go out to face the big bad world on my own(It's gonna be my first time putting game into practise)

Negsta!
Something that I have been telling myself alot lately, (For example I am starting to excercise alot more than I used to) is to as soon as you get an idea you think might be alright, do it. Don't think about it, just go and do it. If it goes to hell in a handbasket whoohoo.

Make-up, No Make-up... Bleh

What matters isn't so much your looks is how confident you are with them. If you think it makes you look better and improves your confidence then hell yeah go for it. Just be aware of the possible negatives and work around them either way you go.

Make-up: Be aware the differences in make-up and plan accordingly. Some do smear, some don't. Some feel more natural, some don't. Some reak complete havoc on your skin... some doesn't. A girl says your gay tell her you could prove her wrong but to have that chance she is gonna have to step up her game a bit. If a guy calls you gay... back up a bit cause that could have just been an invitation. If it isn't, I don't see how what YOU wear is any of his damn business. Unless, that is, you go up to him and ask him how your make-up is. Then it is totally your problem.

Acne-scars: Don't think about them. The more you think about them the more they will wear at you. Yes, some people will notice. No, if your game is good enough it Won't matter. Consider it a handicap that you will have to face eventually. Unless, that is, you get it fixed (if you can). I assure you, uglier men than you have suceeded with Wit, Guile, and good quality game.

As for other extra bits I agree with Gia. At the very least, try it out and TELL US about it on here. Let everyone learn with ya.

Found this interesting thread and decided to make my first post here...

I have been using make-up for about 3 years now. I use Igia instant cover ("as seen on TV") to cover up scarring and pimples. I'm over 30 and STILL have acne occasionally.

If you count Clearasil cover-stick as "make-up", well then I've been using "make-up" since I was about 13 years old... (Damn hormones...)

If I wasn't using Igia, then I would still be using Clearasil for the same purpose. So I have no moral problems using Igia. Of course I use it a bit more "liberally" than Clearasil... Not all over my face, but around my nose, under the eyes, and that general area.

If you overuse it (in thickness), then it can be noticed. But if you use just a little, I doubt nobody notices. Less is more, and usually enough... Igia bottle (2 oz) is VERY long-lasting. I use it almost every day and one bottle is good for two years!

By the way, I have also tried hair-pieces (don't wear one currently), hair loss concealers (those I still use) and I also wear contact lenses... So I'm pretty much a "fake" guy all over. :) What you see is definitely NOT what you get... ;)

But who cares. I'm over 30 and I need young pussy, and I'm willing to do whatever reasonable to get it. So far I've been fairly successful and I look somewhat younger than I really am. (The "natural me" looks at least as old as my real age, if not older. And definitely UGLY.)

And most chicks aren't exactly "natural" either.

If covering acne scars gives you more confidence, than I would say go for it.

I use foundation if I get a pimple or something, it's no big deal. I would put it in the same category as hair coloring/gel.

I had some killer acne in highschool and it was all bad. I still had acne up into my early 20's and then i did a combo of things to kill it off. Look at yourself as a person that doesn't have acne, but sometimes breaks out and that it needs not to be, because you are a person without acne. I'm not a psychologist nor a philosopher but i do know that if you isolate your problems and look at them differently, your subconscious will play a big role in the outcome.
Just for example i'd always get mad and do the "why me" rant daily about acne, and then one day i told myself... "i dont have acne this must be a joke" and a few weeks later i cleared up and continued to stay clear. As far as topical applications Proactive, if used right, was beneficial to me and a lot of my friends.

I have tried the eye-liner thing with some good results, but I had some personal problems with my acne, Accutane saved me from it basically, its a prescribed drug that 98% of the time gets rid of 99.9% of your acne after 6 months or less. The average time for your acne to stay gone after this SPAM is 5-6 years, and by then most people are done with acne and never have to worry about it, if not they just put you on another 6 month course. The only problem with the medicine is that it is a LOT more powerful than any cream or thing over the counter, and if females take it andget pregnant i think like 87% of the babies come out deformed or mentally retarded, it is all bad for females, but for guys there is almost no side affects, only a few rare exceptions. I am just finishing up my 1st month on the stuff and the pictures from before and after amaze me, I have like 30% less acne or less, and more goes away every week. The only downside that has to happen is a small blood sample every month which can take up to *gasp* 3 whole minutes to finish, its really not bad for having great skin.

On the other note about makeup, I have tried some of the cover up creams and I didn't like them so much, I couldn't rub my face without going to the bathroom and when I went out without anything on it felt weird and I was thrown off a little, so I would suggest staying away from cover-ups but stuff like eye-liner and nail polish etc is fine. Mystery does well with it.
**NOTE** dermatologist will try to make you try other stuff before this because of the occasional side effects and stuff, it took a year and a half for my docter to finally hand me the meds, but it was worth it.**

Good luck, hope this helps.

I used to take vitamin B5 for treating acne and I think it helps. But you have to take it many GRAMS per day, a small amount in multivitamin capsule is not sufficient.

Search google with "vitamin B5 acne" to get more info. Some webstores sell bulk B5 powder pretty cheaply. I suggest trying this before going the Accutane route. Definitely safer and cheaper.

I don't take B5 anymore since my acne is pretty much under control now. A few pimples here and there every now and then, but mostly nothing too dramatic.
