Hey fellow PUAs, although this might be a little too general, what are some great examples of DHV? Let me hear from you guys and your experience.

Just cool things about yourself man.
Playing an instrument, doing a sport, having a good job, even something like caring about your family/friends can be seen as a DHV. The biggest mistake when trying to convey DHV though is bragging. So for instance if I want to DHV that I play in a band I won't just come out and say "I play in a band" I'll just throw in a little hint like "yeh the other day me and my bassist went to....." I've only mentioned a bassist and therefore havent neccersarily directly mentioned I'm in a band, but she picks up on me mentioning a bassist and usually after I stop talking about whatever it is I was talking about she'll say "are you in a band or something?" to which you just respond "yeah" as if someone has told you it's raining outside but you already knew that. Then you just let her bring the conversation to you, try not to go overboard by saying everything under the sun about whatever it is, but keep it short and sweet.

i use that band one all the time and for some reason it works better for me than it does my guitarist...i guess girls find drums more interesting, or its the fact i can keep a rhythm ....but then again guitarists are supposed to have magic fingers :s

another one is talking about something kl you did recently or it could be as simple as answering the phone while they talk to you, so it gives off the impression you don't care and that she should have to wait for you as your then in charge

I consider myself great at DHVing. What I do is I don't DHV unless the topic is introduced to me. I Don't go "Hey I play football and rugby and im a star on the team". Bragging is not something you should be doing, and when people try to DHV they really just end up bragging. Ex of me DHVing this weekend.

Bumped into two girls on bus, one of them I used to know in middle school. They were telling me how they were at a park party and it got busted by the cops. I then DHV'd by telling them a funny story of how a party I was got got busted by the cops and the cop was literally like the ones on superbad. They found the story halarious and it was a major DHV without me having to brag about anything.

A good DHV will express alpha qualities but will also leave them with questions about you. For instance say "I was playing a gig somewhere this one time..." BEFORE you say "Oh you're a teacher? That's cool, I'm a guitarist." Let them give you some IoI's so you can judge how well the attraction is going. Also remember that a good DHV has a punchline, that is to say its not always funny, but there should be one sentence at the end of the story that is either a.) the punchline of a funny story or b.) sums up the experience in a well put manner or reveals some learned experience.

From there, either draw from personal experience or lie...I mean, flirt . I have stories that fall into both categories, but the best ones are always the ones that are true that I exaggerate here or there.
