I went with a buddy of mine and a girl out to a trendy pub last night. We sat down while they had some drinks (I was D.D.) and suddenly 2 guys (who must have been PUAs) came in with a big group and basically opened our group. They shook our hands, gave us hugs and told us to come over (this usually never happens where I live). They bought my buddy and the girl drinks. They were with quite a few chicks and seemed to be having a good time, so I saw it as an oppurtinity to mingle. I opened a few groups of girls. Quite a few of them were Asian, so I spit some Hindi and Tagalog.

I noticed that they were talking to everybody in the pub. They didn't open just the girl I was with, they opened my buddy and I too. I've been trying to think of more ways to pierce the social groups in clubs. A friend of mine told me he has gone into a bar and given every person there a hi-five. Do you guys tactics like that as affective?

Yes, the technique you describe seeing is excellent for pubs. You noticed they were talking to everyone in the bar, others probably did too. People are drawn to the center of attention social situations. The guys you describe sound like they were very good pua's.

Not only were they talking to everybody, they just looked like they were having a good time. That's really what pick up is all about, going out there and allowing yourself to enjoy life. 95% of the people I see in bars around here are just flies on the wall, standing there getting drunk. What's the fun in that?

I wouldn't be surprised. Pick up is pretty big here. I was in Newport Beach, CA.
