anyway, my mom and dad split up when i was 10. I live with my mom during the week and stay with my dad at the weekends. The thing is, my dad is the biggest AFC ever. He literally bends over backwards for people, men and women. He is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. But this has made him into a huge AFC which i have only come to realise recently. The problem is that i have been learning all the wrong lessons from this man my whole life. Discovering PU is one of the ways i am trying to fix this.

Hey well just to through a different flavour in the mix, my situation was pretty wierd:

my dad is a proper aplha male and i look up to the guy and respect him cos hes a good guy and works so hard. my mum on the other hand never seems to care too much about us and always acts uninterested or very immature(sometimes feels like shes my kid sister)

also my parents were never the lovey type and never really showed much affection towards me and my bro's either except maybe my dad a couple of times.

i think having a good bond with your mum helps cos when i started to get to the age of puberty etc i always felt comfortable around girls but whenever there was time to do kino in anyway it would really through me off and make me really shy since i wasnt used to it.

i also got a big bro(only 2 years older) whos a bit of a d**k since he used to put my confidence down alot when i was young and he wasnt that popular in school so couldnt really teach me much about girls.

but....since uni and having good mates - and joining this forum...i'd say im on the right track

My dad never taught me shit. The only thing I got from him regarding girls was: When you get a car, you'll get over your "shyness". Yeah, he was really fuckin helpful <_<. I've never talked to my mom about it.....well not much at least. Her current b/f and his friends've tried helping but I dont tend to trust people and most of my friends are either: Shy themselves/dont talk to me much about it/or realize that I'm shy but realize that they're not going to get through to me.

yeah i think that was my problem aswell...since i come from a indian family - they quite reserved anyway.

anytime thers even a kissin scene on tv - my dads like "oi, change the channel!!" i mean what the hell am i supposed to say to that - im 24 for fucksake
