Another benefit of listening to rap is that it makes you have better rhythm. Having better rhythm in general translates over to being more socially suave.
I totally agree, coming from Brazil, rap is the most similar to samba, and thats how i got my rhythm

I grew up as a grunger (alternative music) worked for a major record label in my late teens, then I got into rave music, dnb jungle all sorts of stuff so really learnt about the rhythm and movement of music. Then I became a hip hop guru of sorts, I think I know every major player both sides of the atlantic (not personally obviously) and I have a hardcore collection or albums and mixtapes etc. I have now bought a new mp3 player and dock with the intention of only filling it with the most savage and hardcore of mc's in the hip hop industry, the best dance and rave music and the heaviest of metal. The idea is that all music that has affected moods and times in my life will end up on this mp3 player.

and yeah music gets u psychd.

try

klashnekof - terrorise the city
busta rhymes - break ya neck
anything by cassidy, fabulous, lil wayne....

I cud go on forever but these are some examples of good stuff to listen to before sarging

Yes , I am listening to rap music everyday when I'm walking to school . I love the game , Dr Dre , Young Jeezy . The confidence in their lyrics do pass on to you in that moment of listening to the cool confident verse talking to girls seem so easy. Because rappers give the image of never slipping up in anything.
check this songs out :

100 bars - the game
get your money right - dr dre , the game , jay z

upgrade you - lil wayne
