| Hey guys,
I watched the film 16 blocks the other day. In it was a really good mid-game question to ask; I don't know if its been discussed here before, these forums have copious amounts of material available. Here it is:
This question is supposed to tell somebody where they currently are, emotionally in life...i've changed it a tad, the proper one will probably be on the internet.
Q - Your stuck in a hurricane in your car, whoever is in the car will survive the hurricane. You have one available seat left and there are three people to choose from. An elderly woman, who wants to see her children/granchildren for the last time, your best friend or the man of your dreams (you don't know him but literally he is the love of your life and your soul mate, one look at him and you've never been so sure of something in your life).
...i've tried it three times and had three different answers - each time I made up bullshit that seems to have impressed them (I don't know the actual answers - I should really google them).
Answer 1: The elderly woman.
What I said - Wow, really? Thats quite interesting, not many people choose that - it shows that you have a real sense of compassion, you look at the big picture and have very strong family values.
Answer 2: The best friend.
What I said - Ah okay, thats cool - Basically this shows that one of the most important attributes in life is your friends and close social circle, I can tell that you have really bonded with a couple of friends in your life and you hold them as currently, the most important. Perhaps your so close with them, you put their emotions ahead of your own - whilst this is a good thing for them, it can hold you back - perhaps you've already realised this, I don't really know. At least your not selfish.
Answer 3: Man of my dreams.
What I said - ah right, that means that at the moment your seeking something in your life that gives you excitment, fulfilment and comfort - its more than likely currently lacking and you feel quite a vulnerable need to seek these things out.
Then inevitable she says this: Ohh cool blah blah blah, soo what would you pick?
Then thanks to Mr. Bruce Willis in the film (who gives the perfect answer) you say this:
Well, I'd give the keys to my best friend and let him drive the elderly woman to safety. Then i'd spend my final moments with the girl of my dreams knowing that i've met my soulmate and i would never meet anybody better, i've saved two lives and i'll have just had the best time of my life. everybody wins.
-----------------
Okay - so if any 1 can add to this, or find loopholes in my arguments etc. please point them out and add to it - or if its been discussed before, point me in the right direction.
Shuffle.
