Guys, I wonder if it's possible to say what the percentages of cold approaches end up in a n-close within 3-5 minutes. As it might depend on the setting and environment of sarging, let's consider following:

- bars and night clubs (almost everybody is on his feet, some are dancing)
- bars (almost everybody sitting, lets say a sunday's noon visit to te bar)
- street (during day)

Give me some ideas.

This question has been asked a few times before. There isn't really anyone out there to my knowledge that keeps these types of statistics. Mostly, because no one writes down there results as it happens while they are in field.

By the way I agree it does depend on the setting. It also depends on other things as well. The truth is I can get a number in under 5 minutes pretty easily. If you actually expect the girl to call you back and not flake you need to spend more time with her.

Make sure you aren't measuring yourself against anyone's standards but your own. There is always room to improve at this. If you feel you are doing well at getting numbers then great. If you think you have room to improve then experiment with different # closes.

Jsmooth is right. Getting the number is not difficult, getting the real number or a promise that she will respond is a bit more work. Why would you only want to spend 5 minutes with her? That in itself is a warning bell to her, ok he gave me 5 minutes, enough to get the number, done. Not good, and you will never know if you actually like her either, there is more to a girl than the outside, yeah, I really believe it.
Not giving her more than 5 minutes shows that you are needy.

I learnt a trick from a friend. Every time he gets a number from a girl, he calls her immediately to check if her phone rings. If she asks why he did that, he responds she has now his number.

If the number is wrong, you can guess what happens…

Equal to that situation, you can send the girl a pre-programmed text message:
"Greetings and see you soon, your name"
always funny to see her reaction when she gets the message while talking to you.

Well, thats what I always do... So far I never got a false number... I just go:
"Hey we should really hang out some time."
"Yeah we should."
Pulling out phone.
"So gimme your number and I will give you a short ring and youll have mine."
"Ok"

This always works wonders.

My have an amazing number close that I have always used and continue to use:

"So what's your number."

Amazing, right? Works every time.

You say you get the number within <5 min. I consider you as the guy with experience, so I am curious. If you approach 20 women, with how many numbers do you walk away? I think I read somewhere a D. Dangelo's statement that probably 30% of approaches should result in a # close when done right. It's only a figure, so don't bother about this, but whatdo you think (question also for other guys here)? Do you agree? Alrigth, #-close is nothing like a f-close, but I think Paul Janka talks about some 10% succes rate (f-close) during day game. Your ideas?

What about false time constraint? Most guys (aknowledged PUAa) talk about explicitly mentioning to the HB right after you approach her, you will not stay long because of your friends or whatever. I can imagine that this is a bunch of canned stuff and the the HB will see through this easily, but on the other hand staying around gives too much away of yourself too early. There seems to be some disagreement on this. You mention a few reasons, but I am not really sure.
