When im speaking with my friends I have one of the loudest voices, I don't stop talking half the time! However in like a football match for example i'd never shout, id be the one thats silent, i never like to really raise my voice infront of lots of people.

When im around other guys I don't know too well and especially girls. My voice seems to go all quiet, I find it hard to talk (it comes out all quiet), and when im walking past someone and say "All right mate?" it usually comes out in a quiet whisper instead of a loud voice. I have confidence issues and it comes out especially in my voice.

Does anyone have any tips for this of how they've conquered it or something? Any tips would be great :D, cheers.

Well you mentioned being quiet in a football match, I myself am quiet at football matches but that's just because where I happen to be in the stadium (plus at the footy I figure no1 except me will hear anyway) however i'd suggest try standing/sitting where most of the singing/chants take place this'll be a place where you'll essentionally look stupid if you DON'T raise your voice and sing. Though this isn't the best way, it can help.
Although I've never tried it and I don't like recommending things I havent tried personally, I hear public speaking classes are excellent for voice tonality/projection. Another method I've heard of and used briefly myself is that you imagine who ever you are talking to is 2 feet further back than they actually are and speak accordingly.

The only other thing I can say is that it's all in your head, if you work to become a better man in whichever way means "better" to you, natural confidence begins to show. For me becoming a better man has meant several changes, I drink less than I used to, am taking my guitar playing more seriously, and as of last week have begun doing more phsycial exercise to improve fitness. When you feel better about yourself you feel better about expressing yourself.

Haha my bad mate. Well in the same regard when I am playing football I am always very vocal, usually it involves swearing at my team-mates lol.

Firstly, the most importent part to remain aware of this problem while you speak.

and for the active part: you can't really scream too hard while playing the ball, so just have at it - scream to the guys (just don't high pitch, heh) as hard as you can for start (if they give you a hard time, say you are a bit drunk :P ), and with time you'll learn to ajust the tone.

if you really can't shout, do some breathing exercises - stand with your back streched and do some breathing from the belly (make sure your chest doesn't move, but only your stomach).

don't be afraid to overdo it, it's the way to learn.

btw, the problem with strangers is a good thing, it gives you the possibility to train on non-targets..

last thing - drop a quick word here if this method works or not, I'm working on tonality myself

I think I was blessed to be raised in Essex.

In the UK there is a major devide by regional accents, northern and southern. Generally you either have a strong regional accent (northern) or a more generic estuarian accent (southern) [estuarian means to live near the mouth of a river, i.e. the thames]

I have a gritty, kinda low, husky, sometimes rasping, essex voice. Its kinda cockneyy without being so abstract but also I get told very hot. I have a blokes voice, not particulary deep or bassy but husky would still be best way to describe it. Sometimes I talk like lil wayne as I merge some words together in my sentence structure, this can give the impression of stupidity but its obvious from most of my conversational topics and my attire that im far from that in fact.

I think my voice was a blessing, especially when I visit family and friends from "The North" because girls really really really dig southern guys uop there.

I think naturally most people will get bored of whats available in their own area, so some sort of evolutionary thing has made us more attracted to the opposite sex if they have a vocal pattern completely different to what you consider a normal guy to sound like.

Thats why european women have no problem getting men in the UK, and why British guys have been going all over the world and conquering contries some people didnt know existed. Being English is good, being from Essex, even better
