I've first heard of affirmations / NLP etc. long before I heard about PUA. And they always seemed really unbelievably silly. I tried them a few times just to be sure, and there seems to be absolutely no result whatsoever in repeating something hundred of times, or listening to all kinds of NLP tracks.

Does it work for anyone else?

For me they've worked beautifully, it's amazing how fast repeating "Aaaah yeah, you SEXY, SEXY man!" every time I look in the mirror has replaced 16 years of thinking "Oh, I'm so ugly, I will never have a girlfriend in my entire life".

It makes sense really, what you think is what you are.

it really isn't about them working or not. it's not that sort of thing. what it comes down to is you having belief in yourself, and the confidence to know you can accomplish shit, given you get off your lazy ass and actually try to achieve the said shit.

so long as you don't lie to yourself, and make sure that your conscious view of reality is not a fallacy, you'll do fine.

I use affirmations to make me exercise.
They have worked really well for that purpose.
I also used affirmations to help me make more money.

Now I'm going to start using affirmations heavily for my inner beliefs related to PUA. I have put off doing that, but I'm really going to get serious about it now.

Yeah affirmations work but you have to repeat them enough to the point that they make a difference in your life. Doing it just a couple of days isn't enough.

So far I have some good PUA affirmations from Ross Jeffries, SwinggCat, and David DeAngelo.

Also visualizing is very helpful.
Whatever you want, you can visualize yourself having it.
Visualizing every day would be very powerful in attaining your goals.
I'm going to do that too.
I've been visualizing sometimes, but I really need to do it every day.

I have some hypnosis and e-tapping mp3's, and they helped also.

What you should never do is negative self talk and imagining bad things happening to you. Those things are self sabotaging. Talk to yourself in a positive way inside your head and imagine good things happening to you.
