I have returned from a 2 year trip traveling and working in New Zealand and have a minor accent obviously not full on kiwi one, but i can tell compared to my English friends.

Has anyone any advice on how they think i could use this to my advantage sarging?

Anything that makes you different from the other guys in the field is a good thing, accents included

Just talk normally. More often than not people will pick up on it and ask you about it, especially if they can't figure it out.

I live in Ireland and have an english accent, after being here for 6 years it twists between eng/irish, givin it (apparently) either australian or just english, but any time I open a set people say "where are u from?" and leads to more conversation and acceptance!

use it to your advantage the accent makes you different and therefor unique giving you an edge

im english and when i go to NYC and go to shops i am always treated with "oh wow your british whats london like blah blah have you met so and so"

exploit peoples lack of knowledge about where you come from i personally hate london but i always tell them it is the world metropolis where buetiful gods and goddess parade in the latest fashions blah blah
