So i decided to open a 3 Set just as i was out buying cigarettes. Standing in front of in the queue is a HB7, accompanied by two 5-5.5's.

I walked over to the soda-cooler about a feet off from them while doing a opener over my shoulder while walking "Hey guys i need your help with something. Im suppose to get something to mix vodka with for this weekend. Do i go with pepsi or sprite?" (utter bullshit)

i cut a girl off and am about to continue - when of the 5.5 goes "Oh my god! I saw this on TV, hes going to hit on us (wanted to blur out well not you pumpkin - but held it in) he's gonna start beeing mean and then hit on us" "arnt you?!"



I visualise WTF in neon green in front of me and go; "Yes! I was acctually the executive producer of that show, I now own a harem and was hoping i could bring you all back to enjoy this Sprite with me... What'dya say" *smile*

i then said i was going to call my mate to ask him, and then ejected.


probably the 4th time i've been called out, this was probably the first time i didnt feel i lost face or momentum... How the fuck would you handle this different? Was this an ok approach?

Two different responses spring to mind:

"Oh my god, you saw that program too?! I saw it first time yesterday, and I thought I would go out an try this stuff, I can't believe I got caught out on my first approach! But really, do you think that stuff works?" Then just run the conversation from there

The other one is to look at her like she's crazy and tell her "Uhh.. no, I really just needed an opinion"

That said, I really liked your reply, and I think you should've stayed in the set

Yeah - No, that opener was all me, but women have gotten better on picking up the general principle of being gamed. Need some neat footwork to to get out of shit tests these days.







Yeah, I felt like I could have tryed staying in, but i got caught with my guard down, kinda felt it fail after a 5.5 had ruled my set - even for just a short time. ^^

hahaha thats some bad luck!! the ladies where i come from have no idea about PUA so im pretty lucky but in that situation i would have said somthing along the lines of "woah, dont flatter urself to much! i just need a good drink and you girls look like ud know the better mix.." or somthing like that.. or just been like "... ... ... ohh fuck... ... . . .. .ummm whoa!!! whats that behind you!!!"

Yeah - what i realized later was that i handled it correctly, but that i shouldnt have ejected.

My opener worked - the set where communicating back, i could have taken it anywhere from there but i chickened out. I'll work in the other direction next time this happens!

Good advice indeed, i was just completely thrown off when this happend. A neg would definatly have been in place here followed by a transition/stack. I'll make sure to remember that, after all practice makes perfect

I would just pretend, that pre-thought scripts dont work. Though they do, You should get used to putting yourself on the spot and developing wit. I mean if the girl called me out on it Id accuse her of going out and picking up girls more than I do, since she knows the lines so well, and make up a story about how I saw her hitting on my girlfriend a couple weeks ago at a local bar. It will confuse and twist the situation and the fact you used a scripted line will diffuse. Now you can start off in the middle of a set, and they still know nothing about you, other than you have quick wits and a woman to show for it. You can find a way to sneak in the fact that that you actually are single, like walk away 6 ft and stage a quick phone breakup, and blame the girl who you saw "hit" on your gf as the reason. Call her a homewrecker or something.

To avoid that mess, just go balls out and wing it. Who cares, win some lose some. Keep it up, and itll be win most lose some. Do that every weekend for a month and youll see a huge improvement in on the fly game kicking.

I would have just said something along the lines of "ummm.. ohh yeah sure i am... so which is better Pepsi or Sprite?" then go into your routine though obviously nothing canned because she will be able to figure it out.

That was actually a pretty clever response IMO. The trick is to not stick on that point. Throw out something clever, and roll forward. If it's funny, they'll laugh and forget about it with you.

haha i also just thought that if that happened to me, I'd probably decide to eject too, but respond with something like.

"you're right, I am going to insult you. You're ugly" Then eject.
