Opening dancing targets?

I've heard (read actually) that one must stay away from dancing areas, as they are a trap.

how true is this?

Are you approaching on the floor or taking her to the floor?

I've also read that it's a 'trap', but I think it's relative to your personal game. I approach girls on the floor as I'm already dancing and they go with it the majority of the time. Just go out there and own the dance floor and you will get noticed.

As far as taking her to the dance floor, I don't see why not. I usually give a small tease implying that they can't dance and then take them to the dance floor to "prove it".
