Got a day 2 at a very nice restaurant (didn't know it was so nice) tomorrow and need advice. Second time i'm going to see her, but met her about a month ago, and talked about an hour on the phone + texts. I know its too late now, but with a fancy restaurant, whats the best game plan? DHV'd already big time! She said she needs to go right back home after because of work tomorrow.

should i try to change the location to somewhere a little less formal?

I may not be the best person to reply to this, but I'm going to try to give you a little advice that really depends on how you normally dress. If you normally dress relatively formal-casual, then turn up wearing that and say something along the lines of "Wow, I didn't realise this place is so fancy. I feel a little underdressed."

what about texting something like "so... apparently ____ ____ is really formal, lets do sushi instead." Or would that come off as cheap and low value.

or, "so... apparently ____ ____is kinda dressy, so no scrubs tonight" letting her know that i did not know it was this formal

Have you made it clear that she's going to be paying for her own food? Whether you have or haven't then a text along the lines of "Apparently _____ is pretty expensive, let's do ____ instead," would work well.

I feel like the nice restaurant is just unnecessary.

She has to be up early.

Give her a call/text and tell her you're bringing pizza, over to her place. Show up with a few movies and a puzzle that you two can do together.

Tell her you thought relaxed was better and more fun then some stuck up restaurant.

You can get really creative with the movies you bring over. Bring one of your favorites and one that is perfect for negging like (off the top of my head) the notebook...neg her about the whole chick flick thing if thats what she picks.

The puzzle is good because you can actually talk while you do it. Hopefully it is something that will demonstrate higher value. The picture should remind you of something you did...so there is a nice opportunity for a story for the DHV
