Hey,

this might sound a little strange but here goes my little problem: each week I go to an after work party. Last week a new waitress started working there and I really would like to approach and open. So, no big deal really you think, right? Well, the problem is a little different. The place is very classy, the people are hand-picked and invited directly each week. So I can't mess it up or I will not be invited anymore. Also it's pretty crowded (although it's a lounge bar) so it tends to be hard to open.

But the main problem is: I can't go alone. I got my game in check usually but there are colleagues with me. I need to open fast and funny and if I get turned down it has to look natural.

She is getting hit on all the time and she turns everyone down as far as I have seen (being nice of course because she is a waitress). Even if she has a boyfriend or whatever, I'd rather find out directly.

So does anyone have a good opener for this occasion? She is nice, a HB9 but the situation sucks.

If I have a good opener, the rest is no big deal as I know how to get the rest done

Any input or help appreciated.

you can try to order something, lets say you want a drink, you can just ask: which one is better in your opinion drink1 or drink2? whatever she says dont reply immidiately, pause it for a sec and then ask why and so on. ur body language would be a big deal id say

Waitress: What can I get you

You: w/ a smile "Ahhh.. how about some Cotton Candies, a glass of hot milk and a Gossip magazine. (Then serious look) Oh, Please make sure that they dont have Paris Hilton on the cover, I am tired of reading about her blonde moments"

I have gotten numbers of hired guns, hell ya even a waitress at a Stripclub

Waitresses seem to like me, but it's probably because I tend to go to the same places a lot. So...maybe give it another visit or two? Smile at her, joke with her, but don't hit on her yet...wait until she starts to smile at you when she sees you come in, go out of her way to come wait on you, etc., then hit on her. I haven't kiss-closed or f-closed a waitress yet ( I've number-closed two though, one who has a boyfriend), so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm interested to hear if anyone has good ideas specific to waitresses.
