I have tried this opinion opener constantly and it works a treat! I think its fantastic because there blatantly isn't a right or wrong answer.

If they say, men. Then you can say something like " so you are telling me that if aliens landed on earth they would go for hairy men?" Or something along those lines.

What's the worst that could happen?: some boring old soul starts going on about evolution, default sex and androgen exposure.

I like it dude. I'm definetly gonna try it out. I can easily see a set of for or five girls pushing to put across each their own opinion. although in all honesty, If my target was to say "men", I'd change the answer to:
"Are you saying if aliens were ever to come down to earth they would think that I am more attractive then, say....you? (said in a cocky funny sort of way)
If she says yes I would take it as an IOI and I'd keep my interaction cocky funny style since she'd seem to go with it.
If she says no, then I'd try to make her qualify herself saying something like....
"Why not? what do you think there is for the aliens to see in you, that would make them like you better then a me?"
If she qualify I'd take that for an IOI too.
