Here in my University town of Aberystwyth not much happens! Anyway got drunk went out speed dating.....hmmm that sounds good to me wahay ive got a ticket. Next morning oh man what the hell have I done? oooow man they will all hate me yarda yarda....Go along and I was like oh man what have i done, this is horrible. After the first set however I was like hmmm this is ok.....then a few more I was like MAN THIS IS AWESOME! Although a sticking point was getting away from the boring stuff like whats your name, where you from zzzzzzz. The high energy girls where the best though in my opninion because it was like yeah blah blah blah, sit back Spark relax, these two minutes will fly by, just make the odd comment I like this alot. Also its true about making a girl laugh, make them laugh and have a good next line or leave it to them the choice is yours. Just DONT FEEL AKWARD OR FEARFULL, I did this a few times and then it was like man this is awkward I hope these 3 minutes are up soon, so I can politely escape (I did make a thing of it to shake each girls hand at the end). Another good point of this is that a met some really awesome guys too! See there wherent enough girls to go around so if you wherent fast and I wasnt going to rush you wouldnt get in, but everyone there was like oh hay and I really got into this process and was like wow people lets talk yeeeeah, which is odd for me! Which suggests a lot of game is to do with mind set if you are out thinking I dont want to talk, guess what......NO BODY WILL TALK TO YOU! I know most of these things are kinda obvious but they are pretty big things which tonight has like revolutionized my world! Also I used a few canned openers including my favourate which is who lies more boys or girls? This got a few laughs, which I took to be proof that openers work! My follow on however wasnt so good, but im taking a step at a time once opening is sorted ill improve the next step and so on......Anyway your comments on my faults, good bits, things that are good to say/do in that kind of situation would be lovely!

positives were to make a point to shake every girls hand after the interaction. This is good for your later on game. Because no matter how boring the set may have been, you always leave on a good note. This gives you the enough good vibe to open the next set on a positive energy too.

If you are currently only working on your opening game (like you said) then, speed dating might be a good thing for you to repeat again. This is because you will get used to the fact that people wont shut you down straight away. This is a good mind set when you do normal gaming. If you have the confidence that the set will not shut you down, but instead, you are the one "checking" if they are cool enough to keep talking to and find out more, then they will follow that mind frame.

I think that speed dating thing was just a one off, as it was at my union. I was thinknig however that I could take the positives from those intertactions and apply them in other scenarios. Also the basics that ive learnt are still the same, mostly that strangers arent this terrifying monster that wants to eat me.....a problem ive had for a while as some of my interactions have seemed real forced as I desperately try to swollow down gthe fear of being rejected (or worse). Now thats gone im hoping that I can mimic those attitudes in many different situations i.e. pubs, clubs, bars etc the more common places in Aberystwyth; it would be mint if there was more speed dating though so if anyone can help with that it would be nice!
