However, what if we want a long relationship? Is this possible through these techniques ect? Obviously, I can't use lines in a relationship lasting years can I?

Many are in it for long term relationships. These techniques are for building attraction and improving yourself. I don't see how those could possibly not work for long term. And no, you won't be using lines in a relationship.

Pick ups not about "lines" people use lines at the
start over then encounter, to help build attraction and
stand out from every other guy. BUT you wont be running
routines mostly after day 2 (maybe occasionally run them).
Then its mostly about being confident and keeping your frame.

NLP techniques are pretty much mind control and most don't suggest using them because its unfair to the girl.

NLP is not mind control. NLP is all about improving yourself and those around you by improving your communication methods and languaging.

Having said that, Speed Seduction and the way in which it uses NLP could be considered mind control. I dont subscribe to any of that and mainly enjoy studying NLP to improve myself and the way in which I communicate.

Read 'Introducing NLP' and you will see the differences I am talking about. NLP is a powerful tool and I recommend anyone who is interested to read some stuff and form your own opinion. Everyone has their own set of morals and gets to decide the difference between right and wrong. NLP and uses are no different.

Yes, OMS is nothing but a mind-fuck. The Door is another one that should be avoided. Like I said, everyone gets to choose between right and wrong. Take a look at what you feel okay with morally before you try to mind-fuck anyone into sleeping with you.
