If if was indeed a shit test, I'm pretty sure I failed it. Can rebound though, as the target is a friend of a friend. Anyway, critique, discussion, whatever, fire away:

So I was out tonight, mid-week, at a friend's house doing karaoke, not dressed to impress, tired from work. While there, I meet this girl HB8 through another girl. (HB6 who may be interested in me, but I'm trying to just be friends) No routines, just tried to be lively, be confident, and kino. I did 2 duets with HB8 and helped out a really good friend (girl) of mine on another song. Didn't sing with HB6, but spent some time hanging out.

Basically, HB6 gives me a ride home with HB8 in the passenger seat (they're good friends, and I haven't known HB6 all that long.) HB8 is talking to me most of the way (though I'm trying to deflect some conversation to the other one as well)... asks if I have facebook, then says that she will add me.

As we get closer to my place, HB8 asks out of the blue "Do you have hot roommates?" Kinda threw me for a loop, but I guess that's what shit tests are for. I said yeah, they're decent looking guys with decent looking girlfriends. She said something to the effect of "girlfriend's not a problem." After that I joked about whether she was gonna come inside and meet them tonight, although my tone wasn't quite right... needed to be playful, not sarcastic.

We pulled up to the house and the roommates thing came up again, so I fired back (playfully) and said something to the effect of "what about your roommates?" -- which I think was a mistake -- but like I said before, I'll see her again, so it may be possible to salvage.



I just wanna know if anyone has been dealt this line before. If so, how did you deal with it?

Nope, but I've had a girl ask me if I had any good looking friends before. I just said, "that depends... do you?". She laughed and said "I asked you first", to which I replied, "how about we stop trying to set each other up with our hot friends and concentrate on us for a while". Did the trick.
