Failing at K-close, what next?

How do you handle the situation if you went in for the K-close but it didn't go as planned? More specifically, if I use Mystery's "would you like to kiss me" method and the girl declines, what's the best thing to do?

If I do recall correctly, I think he states that if she says, "no" ... then you
need to game her more and try again later.

Pretend it never happened, like it is no biggie. Build attraction, maybe turn away for a while. Wait a while and try again. Two steps forward one step back.
